The Vespa Granturismo 200 has gained a good reputation and reviews are consistently positive.
Engine
The engine is a 4 valve two stroke engine that is powerful and has exceptionally low levels of air pollution which exceed the standards of the USA and Europe now and projected for the future. It easily exceeds 70 MPH and achieves over 65 miles per gallon if correctly maintained and is very stable at these higher speeds.
Looks
The classic lines of Vespa Scooters continue in the Granturismo 200. Chrome mirrors, five spoke die cast alloy wheels, retractable chrome footrests and classically designed floorboard all add up to a stylish machine. Dashboard lights are blue and the halogen headlight gives all the visibility you need at night.
Comfort
The Granturismo 200 has a comfortable double stiched seat and storage room beneath the seat adequate for two open faced helmets or a laptop and a couple of books. There’s also a spacious glove compartment. Rear shock absorbers, twelve inch wheels and rear hydraulic disc brakes all contribute to a very smooth ride.
Accessories
For more storage a spacious top case, matching in colour, is available.It has a padded backrest for the passenger and is large enough to hold two bags of shopping.Other accessories include windscreens and helmets.
Advantages
Stable at higher speeds, reliable, good power and excellent MPG
Disadvantages
Higher priced than other comparable makes.
